Personal Coverage
Our daily lives are full of unexpected events. At times, these events can be costly, worrisome and time consuming. Wouldn’t it be great to know that when these events do occur, you and your family are taken care of? At Dolling Insurance, we strive to insure all of your needs, so that when the unexpected does happen, you can rest easy knowing that you and your family are fully taken care of.
Figuring out which insurance company to go with can be both daunting and confusing. Not only do insurance rates vary but the amount and extent of coverage offered by the insurance companies also varies. This is where Dolling insurance comes in. For each of your personal insurance needs, we will work with you to find the best price and the best fit for you and your family. So, whether you are looking for homeowners insurance, auto insurance, or health insurance (just to name a few types), we are here for you. Give us a call or stop by so we can get started on your insurance needs.
Homeowners Insurance
Homeowners insurance covers damage resulting from events such as fire, theft, and vandalism. In the case of events such as these, not only is the dwelling itself protected, but personal belongings and other structures located on your property are also protected. In addition, homeowners insurance will help cover costs associated with bodily injury incurred on the property, independent of whether the injury occurs to a member or nonmember of the household.
Renters Insurance
It is often believed that landlords insure the personal belongings of their renters. However, this belief is simply not true. Although landlords insure the property in which the renter resides in, they do not insure the personal interests of the renter. It is up to the renters to insure their own personal belongings. Renters insurance will help with the replacement costs associated with the destruction of personal property resulting from an event such as a fire, theft, or vandalism.
Fire Insurance
Fire insurance (often referred to as Dwelling Fire Insurance) is an important type of insurance to have for those who are renting out their home. It is often the case that homeowners insurance does not protect property in which the homeowner is not residing in. Therefore, damage to the house, resulting from a fire, may not be covered if the house is being rented out. Not only does fire insurance cover damage resulting from a fire, but it may also help to pay the rent that the homeowner loses if the property is deemed unlivable.
Auto Insurance
Auto insurance protects you, your vehicle, and passengers in your vehicle in the event of an accident. It also protects those not in your vehicle, but who are involved in the accident (i.e., passengers in the other car if you are at fault). Finding auto insurance that best suits your needs, at the best price, is often difficult. Although specific auto insurance websites will let you compare prices between their insurance and other insurance companies, how do you know what you are actually getting? At Dolling, not only will we compare the rates of up to eight insurance companies for you, but we will also take the time to explain to you each type of coverage.
Got a motorcycle? We can help with that too. If you own a motorcycle, making sure that both you and your motorcycle are properly insured is critical. Motorcycle accidents can often result in more serious bodily harm than automobile accidents. Because of this, proper motorcycle insurance is a must.
Watercraft Insurance
Watercraft insurance protects you, your passengers, and your watercraft in the event of an accident. Although you may be conscientious when it comes to navigating the waters, there is no guarantee that other boaters are. The average cost of a boating accident exceeds $4000, so it makes sense to protect yourself (and your investment!) in the event of an unforeseen accident.
Health Insurance
People often put off purchasing health insurance because they believe that they won’t be able to afford it. This, however, is not usually the case. Health insurance can be affordable as long as you chose the insurance plan that best suits your needs and your pocketbook. What is costly is not being insured! An average trip to the emergency room is well over $1000. In addition, non-emergency doctor visits can often exceed several hundreds of dollars.
Life Insurance
Part of being the responsible head-of-household is making sure that your family is well taken care of in case of death. When deciding the monetary value of your life insurance policy, something to keep in mind is not only the funeral cost, but also the loss of income your family will suffer each year due to your absence. In addition, purchasing life insurance at a younger age is more cost effective than attempting to purchase the same insurance at a much older age.
Umbrella Insurance
Umbrella policies provide an extra layer of protection for you and your family in case your home and auto liability coverage becomes maxed out. For example, if someone becomes seriously injured while on your property and their medical expenses exceed the amount your insurance will pay them, the person may attempt to sue you for the remainder of their medical expenses (and may attempt to take your house and other property). Umbrella insurance will pay the claim above the amount of the liability coverage up to the limit selected.
