Dolling Insurance has been a family run business since 1924. Three generations of Dollings, along with their kind and helpful staff, have been providing customers with the best insurance at the best price. In fact, two generations of Dollings, Tod and Travis, still look after your needs.
Company History
Dolling Insurance was first established in Red Bluff, California in 1889 as the M.R. Hook Agency. George B. Champlin, the future father in law of Herman Dolling, purchased and ran the agency from 1924 to 1933.
Between 1933 and 1939 the agency was run by Herbert Gans. Shortly before enlisting in World War II, Herman Dolling ran the agency and while he was in Europe between 1941 to 1946 his wife Eleanor Champlin Dolling ran the business.
After Herman Dolling's return in 1946 he renamed the business Herman Dolling Insurance and it has been under this name since. Dolling Insurance has been a family run business for over 76 years and is still at it original location of 804 Main Street in beautiful Red Bluff, California in the Sacramento Valley.

Tod Dolling

The Son of Herman Dolling (the ‘Original’ Dolling Insurance namesake), Tod has been owner and principle of Dolling Insurance since 1973. Tod enjoys the insurance business because he gets to interact with members of the community while at the same time helping them insure some of their most valuable assets. Tod feels an especially close bond with the town of Red Bluff as he has lived here for almost 60 years and has raised two wonderful children with his amazing wife, Laurie. In his spare time, Tod enjoys golfing, fishing, and traveling. |
Travis Dolling

The son of Tod Dolling, Travis has been a member of the Dolling Insurance team since 2004. Travis was raised in Red Bluff, but now resides in Portland, Oregon as head of the new Oregon Dolling Insurance branch. Travis has been very familiar with Oregon since he was 18 as he attended, and graduated from, the University of Oregon. Not only does Travis enjoy helping people with their insurance needs, he enjoys the access to the community that working for a small, family business provides. Go Ducks! |
Susan Heinle

Susan has been a member of the Dolling Insurance team since 2001 and has managed both the Commercial and Farm accounts division of Dolling Insurance since 2003. Susan enjoys the family atmosphere of Dolling Insurance and the fact that all clients are treated as valued and important members of the community. Susan has lived most of the past 43 years in Red Bluff with her best friend and husband of 15 years, Steve. |
Kimberly Hallstrom

Kimberly is the newest member of the Dolling Insurance Team and is looking forward to spending many more years as a team member. Kimberly enjoys working for Dolling Insurance as she finds the ‘team leader’, Tod, to be an exceptionally caring and warm person. In addition, Kimberly loves the friendly and respectful environment that she and the rest of the team members create, not only for themselves, but also for every client who walks through the door. Although only having lived in Red Bluff for the past two years, Kimberly considers the close-knit community her home. |
Kim Hood

Kim has been a member of the Dolling Insurance team since 2005. She particularly values being apart of the agency's great reputation and longevity in the community. A Red Bluff resident since 2002, Kim loves taking advantage of the wealth of outdoor activities and the region's long "outdoor season." |
