About our agency
An independent agency works with many insurance companies instead of just one. Dolling Insurance Agency compares coverage and price from several companies for you, then helps with service and claims after you buy.
Our office is at 804 Main Street in Red Bluff, California 96080. We serve Red Bluff, Redding, Chico, Corning, Anderson, Cottonwood and the rest of Northern California, and we are licensed in California, Oregon and Washington.
Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm, and Friday, 9 am to 3 pm. Call (530) 527-1616.
The agency was founded in Red Bluff in 1889 and has operated from 804 Main Street ever since. It is family-owned, and Travis Dolling is the fourth-generation owner.
For individuals: auto, homeowners, renters, condo, rental dwellings, earthquake, flood, umbrella, life and Medicare Supplement. For businesses: business owners policies, general liability, commercial property, workers’ compensation, commercial auto and trucking, contractors insurance and bonds. We also insure farms, crops, RVs, boats and motorcycles.
Call (530) 527-1616 or use the quote form on our website. If you upload your current declarations page, we can compare the same coverage limits from other companies.
Home and property
For a full guide to wildfire-area coverage, see our California FAIR Plan page.
Yes. We place homes in high wildfire risk areas through the California FAIR Plan, paired with a difference-in-conditions policy, and through surplus lines insurance companies.
The California FAIR Plan provides basic fire coverage for homes and buildings when standard insurance companies won’t. It does not include theft, water damage or liability, so we usually add a difference-in-conditions policy to fill those gaps.
No. A home you rent to others, or one that sits vacant, needs a specialty dwelling (landlord) policy instead of a standard homeowners policy.
No. Standard homeowners policies exclude earthquake and flood damage. Both are available as separate policies.
Business
Yes. California requires almost every employer with even one employee to carry workers’ compensation insurance.
A business owners policy combines general liability and business property coverage in one package, usually at a lower price than buying them separately. It’s a good fit for many small businesses.
Medicare Supplement
Your Medigap Open Enrollment Period is a one-time, six-month window that starts the first month you have Medicare Part B and are 65 or older. During it, insurers can’t ask health questions or charge you more because of your health.
Yes. California’s birthday rule gives you 60 days from your birthday each year to switch to a plan with the same or fewer benefits, without health questions.
No. There is no charge for our help. Agents are paid by the insurance companies, and your premium is the same whether or not you use an agent.
